Teacher: Mr Cowley & Mr Smith
Teaching Assistant: Mrs Harvey

Year 6 is the best time in primary school!

We are the oldest children, we have a sense of responsibility, we set an example, we have the opportunity to read some amazing books and write creatively and informatively with detail, emotion, depth and empathy.

We have already chosen children to be Head Girl, Head Boy, Deputy Head Boy and Deputy Head Girl. All the candidates showed immense responsibility and humility in their campaigns and we are proud of them all.

In Year 6 we will be leading our school awareness of Wellbeing, modelling how we connect, give, notice, remain active and learn beyond the classroom.

There are some very interesting topics this year as we build on our positive and interactive curriculum plan. In Autumn we have a 'journey' theme, looking at Darwin and Shackleton.

Look out too for Mr Cowley's 30 Book Challenge: he will be sharing some of his own books with the children. Who can read all 30 in a year?

We are really looking forward to being part of Team Year 6!
