Year 5 & 6 went on a trip to France for five days with Mrs Rowntree, Mrs Hannick, Mrs Gwillam and Mr Smith.
They went for five days to experience a range of challenges that can contribute significantly to their personal development.
Residential trips add a completely new dimension to learning. It raises the whole area of interpersonal skills, including leadership, team work, trust and respect.. The whole experience builds self-confidence, self-esteem and resilience.
This is usually one of the first times that children are away from their parents for any length of time. They get to take responsibility for themselves with limited help from an adult. This gives them a chance to be independent, develop new friendships and, ultimately, make their own decisions.
This trip will be remembered fondly for the rest of their lives.
