I can also be contacted at school on 0208 300 4878 x204.

My role as a FLA , is to provide support to parents/carers  by being the bridge between home and school and helping with any issues that you may have in relation to supporting your child/children. Being a parent can sometimes be tough and I have experience in understanding this. I can provide a listening ear and will always try to support you, your child/children and family, whatever you may be going through.

I can also help with confidential information or advice on the following:

  •     Managing children’s behaviour at home or school.
  •     Emotional wellbeing
  •     Attendance
  •     Family Relationships, including support around domestic violence.
  •     Bereavement
  •     Mental and Physical Health issues.
  •     Housing and financial hardship.
  •    I am a distributor for the Avery Hill and Bexley Food bank providing emergency food for families  in    crisis. (Please contact me directly if you need this service.)

I am passionate about the social and emotional wellbeing of all our children at Orchard Primary School and Iiaise with all school staff when necessary. I will always keep the best interests of the child in mind.

I work impartially and confidentially to support families. I may not have all the answers, however when this happens I do have access to a number of agencies which I can refer on to, or signpost you to.

Please contact me for more information if you feel you or child needs some support or advice. Remember that talking to someone you trust, can assist you to solve problems, take the next steps and help you feel that you are not on your own.

Orchard Primary School regularly holds courses/ workshops in a variety of subjects for parents/carers provided by the Family Learning, Neighbourhood Learning Team and other outside agencies.

The workshops are always fun, non-judgemental and relaxed. It is also a chance to meet up with other parent/carers too.

We have also recently started our Parent Forum which is a great opportunity to come and listen and have your say on the subjects discussed.

Please keep checking the school website and look out for flyers in your child’s book bag to see what is on.

If you have any questions or ideas on workshops that you and other parents may find useful please contact me, I am always open to new ideas.

I look forward to meeting you in the future.
