What is the Parent Partnership Forum?
The Parent Partnership Forum is a partnership between parents/carers of children at Orchard Primary School and the school staff.
It is a valuable way to share ideas, views, concerns and make suggestions for improvement. The aims of the Parent Partnership Forum will be to work together to improve the education and wellbeing provided for our children.
It will be a chance to share information, knowledge, skills and meet in a mutually supportive environment.
Why should I be part of the Parent Partnership Forum?
It gives you an opportunity to get together on a regular basis with other parents/carers to have your say on what the school is doing well and suggest ideas of how things could be improved. There will be opportunities to get advice and support to help your child/children with their learning and wellbeing.
How often and what will be discussed?
Every half- term, for about an hour.
Areas of focus will be on improving the school and further developing the partnership between school and parent/carer.
The meetings will be informal and are an opportunity for an open discussion.
Minutes of the meeting will be taken and these will be accessible on the school’s website.
What will not be discussed at the meetings?
We will not discuss concerns or complaints involving individual children, families or members of staff.
These issues should be raised with the class teacher, deputy head or Head teacher in a confidential meeting.
